Run 1251 | Sunday 6th August 11am | ABERDEEN H3 ANNUAL BALLBREAKER 2006
On On – The Carpark near the AA box on Cairn O Mount Road.
Advertised as…. “Not for the Faint hearted. Fine views? Shiggy galore? Plenty of water stops? Plenty of beer stops? “
Well the faint hearted all made it round so it must be the easiest ballbreaker on record, the fine views were trees as far as the horizon, no shiggy was to be found, the two water stops were actually river crossings and I missed the only beer stop. Well on with the scribe…
We were graced by visitors from above. JESUS & HOTTER ARSE from Helsinki Hash House Harriers & Harrietts (yes it’s H5!)
The run:-
I only made two mistakes on this run. Letting Logie (Pish Head) off his lead at the start of the run was my first mistake. He headed off like a whippet to chase the FRB’s and paid no attention to my calls to come, wait, sit …nothing worked. Whinger held him for me before the 1st road crossing so back on the lead he went.
After crossing the road the trail climbed half a mile up a steep hill through the woods. With Logie pulling me like a tractor this was easy going but without such assistance Hippy Chick was having to work hard to keep up.
After 10 minutes of this Logie was beginning to tire so I let him back off the lead to catch his breath while I threw a few sticks to hold his attention. This was my second mistake…. One call of ‘On On’ from an FRB and he was off again like rabid whippet disappearing over the brow of the hill and out of site.
With only ¼ of the run done I was dogless and dragging round a somewhat exhausted daughter. The two view points were worth the effort and the two river crossings refreshing on our feet but we caught no site of Logie for the rest of the run.
Upon reaching the road for the 2nd time we decided to shortcut direct to the car park missing the last loop – and the beer stop. However, once we made it back to the cars guess who was there? Logie and all the pack waiting for us to get back. And by all accounts it appears that Logie was back at the cars before anyone else which is quite an achievement for our four legged hasher.

Penguin for having a Sex Toy left in his car, which appeared to be for helping erectile disfunction but was then demonstrated by Nae Knickers on ‘Jesus’. Ah it’s a hair band and not a sex toy. It was then tried on Penguin but due to his shortness of hair it would be more useful as we originally thought!
Whinger & Mad Cyclist on behalf of ‘Gem’ & ‘Logie’ (AKA Pish-Head) for being the owners of two dogs running round everyone’s ankles for most of the run.
Olymprick for phoning Little Sh1t to invite him out for a meal but when Little Sh1t said he had eaten so was not too hungry, Olymprick said that’s fine because he did not really feel like going out in the first place!

Little Sh1t then gave us one of the best ever demonstrated down-downs with the ‘spanish condom’ plastic drainpipe I have seen. 70% in the mouth 29% on his clothes and 1% on the ground… Well done! – This was for asking Pigiron to hand over the hash beer for Little Sh1t to take as the ‘Ball-Breaker’ would probably deter Pigiron from attending the run in person.

Sharnee for not taking her own water when setting the run with Little Sh1t but kindly offering to carry his – then having it already drunk when Little Sh1t then wanted some.

Little Sh1t for an excellent run (despite what I said about it).
After the circle we were treated by Little Sh1t to a complimentary BBQ in the car park which I latter found went on into the evening with some hashers being reported missing by loved ones due to the time that had passed and that the site was in a mobile phone dead spot (that explains why the last remaining AA box in the region is there?).
