Run 1264 Hazelhead Park

 

Good turnout for the bright balmy end of October run aound Hazelhead Park.

 

Numbscull took the pre-run DD for failing to attend the committee meeting.

 

Yap Yap was sure someone must have arrived early though wisely no-one admitted to it and she in the meantime accidentally mentioned arriving at Carolinas an hour early. That momentary lapse of concentration  was harshly punished by being press ganged into horn and scribe duty.

 

The main thing I remember about the 5 mile run is lots of long up hill stretches between checks. The group soon fell into two batches of front and rear guard runners. Carolina and yap yap on the horn kept with the back runners so as not to lose anyone ofcourse!!

 

Goat wrestler did very well on his bike apart from the odd technical diffeculty with his chain.

 

On the plus side there was eventually an excellent sweety stop closely followed by a beer check.

 

The post hash inquisition revealed that Aids,String Dick and Harley did the run backwards but cunningly without passing those going the right way.

 

Harley broke with tradition again when he caught sight of Cannabearsed on his bike and on hearing the sacred words, "I know where the beer is"  naturally followed the knowledgable one even though he was not doing the run. Hence Harleys hunt for the hash hooch had him horribly lost again!
